Every great marketer understands the value of upskilling. But it can be overwhelming to know what is truly worth your time. To help you stay ahead in 2025, I’m sharing my favourite resources to help you become the best marketer you can be.

Blogs and Websites
Girls in Marketing
Of course Girls in Marketing takes the first spot on this list. Whether it’s their social media platforms or their blog, Girls in Marketing provides resources for all aspects of Digital Marketing. They also have a paid membership with courses, templates and workshops.
Adweek
Okay so Adweek is more of a website than a blog but there’s something about all the Marketing news being in one place that makes me so very happy. Adweek is a great way to keep up with what other brands are doing and might even spark an idea or two for your next campaign.
Semrush Blog
Last to join my list is Semrush– simply because I only just discovered them a few months ago. I love their blog posts and courses and it just makes me sad that I didn’t discover them sooner.
Books
“Atomic Habits” by James Clear
While not specifically a marketing book, “Atomic Habits” teaches you how to build habits that can improve your personal and professional life. I credit this book with my high productivity level in a certain job (which eventually did lead to burnout so maybe proceed with caution here? Idk, I have mixed feelings. Loved the book. Hated the burnout).
“On Brand” by Aliza Licht
A personal branding book on a list of books for Marketers. Ground-breaking. Aliza Licht is one of my favourite people to follow ever since she wrote “Leave Your Mark”. This is an excellent book that teaches you how and why you should work on your personal brand. I do believe that everyone- marketer and non-marketer needs to read this book.
Courses
I’ve already mentioned Girls in Marketing and Semrush for some really reat courses. Other resources that I love for Marketing courses are the Digital School of Marketing (note that these are paid courses) and Udemy.
Hubspot also has a variety of courses but right now I am in my Semrush era and cannot be disturbed until I have finished ALL the courses. What can I say? I have an obsessive personality.
